OVPay is the new way travellers in the Netherlands pay for public transport. This system allows travellers to easily check in and out using their bank card, credit card or mobile phone, without the need for a separate OV-chip card. It uses the existing contactless payment infrastructure to enable seamless and fast transactions. With this, we make travelling easier and safer. As adesso Netherlands, we are doing our bit by co-developing, in the person of Gert Kommer, the product sales system for easy buying and linking a season ticket to your bank card.

Awesome stuff usually starts with a super cool idea, a ton of hard work, and yes, sometimes, a few tears along the way. In the tech world, those amazing ideas turn into lines of code… and, yes, lots of them. If you want your app to be loved by loads of people, you're going to need more than just a good idea – you need the tech to support it.

Some years ago I made the switch to working on a Mac, away from Windows and Linux. As I was already used to the terminal on my old Ubuntu system, the change wasn't too big of an issue. However, I just couldn't wrap my head around one thing: how window and application management is handled on macOS. Finally, after years of having a half-working setup, I have found the perfect solution, and it’s even better than what I had before!

My decision to become a Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE consultant started during corona period. Previously, I worked as a training consultant for a company that organized events and training courses. This is where I first used Dynamics 365. Everyone recognizes the corona period; we couldn't do anything anymore. As a result, the events and training sessions could no longer take place.

Build caching helps you reduce your local or remote build time! Building a project with Maven or Gradle will save your artifacts to a (remote) cache. The second build will get the artifacts from the cache if nothing changes. It sounds great, right? But why was nobody aware of the feature when I asked about it during our presentation at JFall?
