A day with our adessi: Natascha Hollart

This morning, I was woken up early by the alarm clock at 5:45 a.m. After a refreshing cup of coffee, I headed to the gym, giving myself 1.5 hours to clear my mind and start the day fresh. With renewed energy and a clear mind, I was ready to get to work.

I opened my LinkedIn and took the time to go through and respond to my messages. Then it was time to focus. Today, the emphasis was on our special Squads, Blue4IT, and Codesquad. We are working on setting up a campaign to showcase the amazing opportunities we offer our colleagues. But how do we convey that? How do we show the cool conferences they attend, the knowledge sharing that takes place, and how important we consider the work-life balance?

Post-its were already hanging on the door, and my notepad was ready. Yes, I know, it's a bit old-fashioned, but it still works perfectly for me.

It's 11 o'clock in the morning, and I had a meeting with colleagues from different countries to share knowledge about marketing, recruitment, and HR. These meetings are always valuable and simply enjoyable. It's fascinating to see how other countries approach certain things and how we can apply them in the Netherlands. It provides us with the opportunity to work smarter and more efficiently.

During the meeting, we exchange ideas, share best practices, and discuss new strategies. It's inspiring to see how different cultures and perspectives come together and give us new insights. We discuss how to adapt marketing strategies to specific local markets, how to recruit new talents, and how to improve processes.

This international collaboration encourages us to think beyond our own borders and discover new ways to achieve our goals. After the meeting, I felt inspired and full of new ideas. I am determined to apply the knowledge gained in my daily tasks and elevate our organization in the Netherlands to a higher level. We realize that despite our smaller size, we can still benefit from the vast pool of knowledge within adesso, and this is a valuable advantage that sets us apart and makes us stronger.

During lunch break, I decided to relax in the garden, where my rabbits always excitedly hop towards me in hopes of getting something tasty. It was a delightful way to unwind and enjoy the company of these adorable creatures.

After lunch, I had a meeting with a potential new colleague for our data and analytics team. From the moment we started talking, I felt an immediate connection. This person was not only inspiring but also incredibly intelligent and determined. They knew exactly what they wanted and had a hint of stubbornness that intrigued me.

During our conversation, I discovered that they had a tremendous passion for music. They proudly shared their adventures as a musician and how they integrated this passion into their daily life. It was amazing to hear someone speak about something they were genuinely passionate about.

Their enthusiasm and drive were contagious. It was clear that they would not only be a valuable addition to our team in terms of data and analytics but also that their unique personality and passion would add an enriching dynamic.

After the meeting, I felt energized and refreshed. It was so invigorating to see how someone's passion outside of work could have a positive influence on their professionalism and motivation.

This conversation reminded me of the importance of having people with different interests and passions on our team. It stimulates creativity, fosters a positive work environment, and ensures that we continue to inspire each other.

With a smile on my face, I continue my day, hoping that tomorrow morning they wake up and feel the same way about our conversation, and we can extend an offer to enrich adesso.

At the end of the day, it was time for a phone call with another potential new colleague. This person had met the team yesterday, and I was naturally curious about their thoughts and whether they saw themselves as part of the team.

After the call, I took some time to respond to emails and complete the final tasks of the day. It felt good to wrap everything up and successfully conclude the day.

With hybrid work, I now have the opportunity to take time for other aspects of my life. So, I decided to prepare delicious asparagus for my family. It was nice to detach from work and enjoy a relaxing evening at home.

As I prepared the asparagus, I realized how important it is to find a good balance between work and personal life. Hybrid work gives me the flexibility to nurture and appreciate my passions and responsibilities outside of work.
